Welcome to the Kompass Junior College Blog! Today, we are excited to share the inspiring words from our Annual Day speech by our founders, capturing the essence of our theme for the year – “Transformation.”
As we delve into the transcript of this powerful address, we invite you to join us in celebrating the journey of Kompass, a junior college nestled in the vibrant city of Hyderabad, Telangana.
Today, as we gather to celebrate our Annual Day under the theme of “Transformation,” I am reminded of a quote by Rick Warren: “We are products of our past, but we don’t have to be prisoners of it.” Transformation, as I perceive it, becomes the key to breaking free from our past and forging a new path.
At Kompass, we embrace diversity in its various forms – languages, religions, genders, and nationalities. With over 2/3 of our team comprising women and more than 40% female students, we are proud of our commitment to diversity. As we aim to surpass 50% female students, our coeducational identity remains intact. We take pride in speaking over 10 languages and celebrating the diverse festivals of our country.
Diversity of thoughts is equally crucial, allowing us to be pragmatic, relevant, and open to experimentation. At Kompass, we encourage this diversity, fostering an environment where everyone is included, regardless of their background or perspective.
As we celebrate our 5th year milestone, we reflect on the incredible journey from a humble start with 26 students and 5 team members to three centers, over 35 staff, and plans for launching undergraduate courses. We express gratitude to our students, the dedicated Kompass team, and supportive parents who have been integral to our success.
Kompass has been dedicated to the holistic development and transformation of students during their two-year tenure with us. We believe this transformation extends beyond these two years, laying a strong foundation for their future. Our focus on a comprehensive education is evident in our curriculum, coaching methods, and skill development initiatives.
We have deliberately avoided overwhelming students with excessive study material, opting for what I call Coaching by Kilos. This approach emphasizes critical thinking and decisive action, providing a solid foundation for their professional journey. The results speak for themselves, with 40% of our students receiving calls from NLUs, including prestigious institutions like NLS – Bengaluru.
We are proud of our alumni, who are excelling in institutions such as NALSAR, NLU-Vizag, Hindu College in Delhi University, Christ University, Symbiosis, and Narsee Monjee. We look forward to more remarkable achievements by our students in the future, guided by our dedicated faculty and enablers.
In conclusion, I would like to share a special message for our final year students, inspired by Dr. Seuss:
“You have brains in your head, You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself Any direction you choose.”
As you embark on your journey, remember that with your intellect and determination, you have the power to decide your path. You are equipped to overcome challenges and reach great heights. We are confident that you will soar to success, making Kompass and Hyderabad proud.
Thank you for being part of our transformative journey. Here’s to many more years of academic excellence and personal growth at Kompass Junior College in Hyderabad!
