Summary:

Kompass Junior College seeks a passionate and experienced French Faculty member to join our dynamic Languages Department. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the French language, proven instructional ability, and a commitment to fostering a love for French language in our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Development & Delivery:
  • Design and deliver engaging and effective French language lessons in accordance with college standards and curriculum guidelines.
  • Prepare and deliver lectures, discussions, and interactive activities to promote students’ proficiency in all aspects of French (reading, writing, listening, and speaking).
  • Develop comprehensive assessment tools to evaluate students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Classroom Management:
  • Maintain a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters a sense of community.
  • Employ effective classroom management strategies to ensure a conducive learning atmosphere.
• Student Support:
  • Provide additional support and guidance to students who may be facing difficulties with the language.
  • Offer opportunities for cultural enrichment through French-related activities.
• Professional Development
  • Collaborate with other members of the Languages Department to share best practices and design cohesive learning experiences.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • A teaching certification or diploma in French language instruction is highly preferred.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience teaching French at the secondary or college level.
  • Experience in curriculum development and assessment design is a plus.
• Skills:
  • Native or near-native fluency in spoken and written French.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate students and create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with current teaching methodologies and technologies.
